Follow-ups and no-shows

Follow-ups booked on the real schedule, and no empty slots

The patient books in the app into a slot that exists, and a canceled slot goes to the waitlist.

The problem

The patient forgets to book the follow-up, and a last-minute cancellation leaves the slot empty.

How it works with CHIRON

The patient sees the schedule's open slots and books in the app.

Follow-ups and no-shows

How it works with CHIRON

  1. The patient sees the schedule's open slots and books in the app.
  2. The visit reminder goes out ahead of the day.
  3. When someone cancels, the slot is offered to the waitlist.
  4. The first person to accept gets the slot; the others are told it's already taken.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Can two people book the same slot?

No. The database refuses the overlap, not the screen: two requests at the same moment end with one booking.

  • Does the schedule show up in my calendar?

Yes. Each clinician subscribes to the schedule in Google Calendar, the iPhone Calendar or Outlook.
